About the Artwork

Across three photographs, a rectangle of light holds a darkened body: a hand's shadow on sunlit stone, a marble figure inside a window's projection, and a viewer silhouetted against a painting. The frames become increasingly deliberate—sunlight, architecture, picture—while the body remains a shape. Photography adds the fourth and final rectangle.
