Michelle is a visual designer and creative strategist, creating since her dad brought home her first camera from his job at Kodak. Her work now spans photography, film, and graphic design, shaped by her cultural identity and love for nostalgic cinematography and 60s-80s music. Raised in Shanghai, she is now based in New York.
About the Artwork
Though digital culture can amplify the polished, the curated, and the flawless, this work reframes the ordinary as unconditionally beautiful, even objects never made for the purpose of simply being looked at. It finds grandeur in the unremarkable, the unglamorous, and the imperfect — and suggests that life doesn't need an audience to be wholeheartedly lived.
